When h1bdata.info fits

If you need to look through the individual filings for a job title, company or city across many years, a row-level index is the right tool, and h1bdata.info states a far larger record count than the aggregates here. It also notes that the DOL disclosure data does not indicate the employer's intended use for an LCA, which is true of the file for every site that uses it.

When Filed Wages fits

If you want to know where a wage sits (percentiles), how it compares with BLS OEWS, which wage level the filings name, and when the data is from, on one page. Coverage is much narrower: 10,250 employers. Read the methodology and the caveat about filed wages versus OEWS.
