Chrome extension
RangeCheck
A card on every LinkedIn job with a pay range: is it below, within or above market? Coming to the Chrome Web Store.
What it is
RangeCheck is a Chrome extension that adds a small card to a LinkedIn job posting that shows a pay range. The card says whether the posted range is below, within or above market, shows the 25th percentile, median and 75th percentile for that occupation (in the job's state when available), and always shows the data source and year.
Where it works
LinkedIn only. The extension runs on linkedin.com job pages. It does not run on Indeed, Greenhouse, Lever or other job boards. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by LinkedIn.
Free and Pro
| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 5 checks a day with the wage verdict and percentiles |
| Pro | $19, one time | Unlimited checks, the employer's own H-1B wage filings for the same title, and an offer check that gives the percentile of any offer amount |
Where the data comes from
BLS OEWS wage estimates and the same Department of Labor H-1B disclosure data that powers this site. Estimates for information, not pay guarantees or advice. The extension sends only the normalized job title, the location and, for Pro, the company name to look up wages; there are no accounts and no tracking.
Availability
Coming to the Chrome Web Store. The extension is not listed in the store yet, so there is nothing to install today. Join the list below for one email when it is live. Until then, the browser version of the comparison is the offer check.
